The honor of representing Alpha Omega in Saskatoon had and continues to be a great challenge, experience and opportunity. This website was designed as a tool to communicate our purpose as a chapter of Alpha Omega. We are very excited to present what we are about and hope that by exploring our site you develop an interest towards our chapter. Throught this website we can reach out to our current and previous members, sponsors, supporters, other alpha omegan chapters and to anyone interested in our chapter. Take your time and learn about Alpha Omega.
A FEW WORDS FROM THE CO-FOUNDERS
Alpha Omega launches Chapter Lambda at the University of Saskatchewan

Welcome to the Chapter Lambda website of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Browse our website and see the interesting things our chapter is up to.

The AO experience is and has been amazing! It all began in September of 2004 with a goal to start the first ever AO student chapter at the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Yes, you heard it right: SASKATCHEWAN! It has been an outstanding experience since then, with lots of hard work and friendships forming and growing along the way. We are very proud of our accomplishment in this short period of time.

Chapter Lambda has had exceptional involvement and support while demonstrating a substantial amount of interest in what this fraternity can offer since its’ inception. This could not have been accomplished without the dedication of our members which intern has allowed us to envision it’s strong future in the SK.

Our chapter also would never have the success it encounters today without the contributions of some distinguished people. We thank Dr. Brad Krusky (Calgary), Dr. Warren Cohen (Calgary), Dr. Andrea Heckler (Montreal), Dr. Jason Streem (Michigan), Dr. Terry Shapero (Toronto), Dr. Michael Tenenbaum (Montreal), and Dr. Alan Ross (Regina) for contributing to endless e-mails and phone calls while providing us with educational lectures to set us up to be one of the most active student chapters in the world. The support of these members has secured the passion in our blood for being part of the continuation of Alpha Omega into the future as a world leading dental association. As we don’t have a local Alumni Chapter Dr. Brad Krusky with the Calgary Alumni Chapter have taken us under their wings, adopting us 350 miles away. Despite the present lack of an alumni chapter in our province, we have been given attention from a member who is become reactivated with AO since Lambda’s creation. Dr. Alan Ross, of Regina, Saskatchewan, has extended a hand at every opportunity he has been able to find, to contribute to Lambda’s development.

We extend our welcome to all our AO brethren worldwide visiting or passing through Saskatoon, to come and stay with us. We’ll be honoured to host you and show you a fun time, Lambda style!

We are very excited about the future of Chapter Lambda, and our involvement with Alpha Omega locally, nationally and internationally. We look forward to the many events and activities in the near future both within our chapter and internationally.

Fraternally,
Richard Halpern
